Major brain structures are color-coded and the 3D animation provides a useful reference for understanding relationships among parts of the brain. Good for students in an introduction to psychology course, not as detailed as would be needed for biopsychology or biology. Provides a tactile experience of the brain without the juiciness of the real thing. Students can use a finger or a stylus to move the image 360 degrees, horizontally and vertically. There are options for looking at the image only, the image with labels, and image with labels and/or text information describing structures, functions, and major disorders associated with specific structures. An instructor could take a screen shot without the labels and use it as a basis for quizzes/tests or to create a study guide or matching exercise.Should we get the ability to easily project from the iPad in the classroom, this would be a good app to use in presentations of the major structures of the brain.
