Possibly A Great Resource

I was looking around for some tutorials, and came across a suggestions for TeacherCast.  It's a website, but also an iphone and ipad app that is a hub for educational resources.  It has podcasts, app reviews, an education blog, video tutorials, a chatroom, etc.

I think that while the website is interesting, it seems that it would work even better in the app form, as you can separate the material in a more user friendly way.  There do seem to be a lot of k-12 resources, but there are a good number of college level reviews and tutorials, as well.

I hunted around the material they had on the website version (Teachercast.net) and found that they had a section called LiveBinders, where teachers posted their lesson plans with apps, assignments, and resources all in one long pdf.  They had them broken down into different categories like music, special education, social studies, business, as well as other categories like High School, Administration, etc.  There were a lot of each type of resource--lesson plans, app reviews, podcasts, tutorials, etc.

Here's their tagline:
Through our dynamic professional development resources, TeacherCast will help you find the right tools to use in your classrooms and bring you the best methods of using them through engaging content online and on site each and every day.

It's a ton of information; almost too much information, but the potential for finding a new tool, resource, or way to use what you already have is worth the hunt.  Especially since it's free.
